Godzilla king of monsters: chapter 1

it was another normal day out on the boat with his fishing crew for Kevin Salvador. they were hauling up a load of fish when they felt lots of hard ripples in the water toppling there boat every where. it had almost tipped over once before the captain yelled out to everyone to get inside and get home. Kevin knew that none of this type of weather was forecasted and the weirdest thing was that it wasnt even windy when it started to topple. the waves had just come out of nowhere, there wasnt a boat nearby, there wasnt wind and it wasnt forecasted. like most things that kevin thought strange to himself in life, he just shrugged it off and thought that perhaps there was a whale beneath him but what was actually underneath him was much much bigger than that. they had started to go into shore and could just see land over the horizon. "woah, did you see that?" kevin turned around to see who had said it. tim was the person who had said it. "what did you see Tim?" asked Jimmy the youngest person on board at the age of 21, sometimes kevin thought of how Jimmy could ever want to do this kind of job. ussually kids his age would be doing things that they considered 'fun' such as making bikes, and some sort of thing that kevin heard called video game consoles. kevin had no idea what those console things were but he knew that they were 'the thing of the next generation' or something like that. " i saw some sort of fin thing come out of the water. but it wasnt a shark or a dolphin it was much too big for that, it was grey and looked kind of like a stone."
"you must be imagining things Tim" said James the sort of leader of the group. he was very muscular and seemed to always be chewing gum, he had a fishing hat with lures hangning off of it, he had a brown beard that went down to his chest and ended off in a little ponytail. his hair sort of blended in with his beard being not so long in the back and having no fringe in the front, but the sides were long and just sort of fused in with his beard. he was missing half of his left arm as well which led Kevin to wondor why excactly he was let into this job where you quite clearly need to have 2 hands at the ready at all times. he was never in a jumper even on the coldest of days, he was always in a green or blue vest. that had lures in the right pockets. "yeah you're probably right James, im just imagining things. then the boat hit something. at first Kevin thought it was a rock or something but then he saw something rising up from the water behind him. the skin of it was tinted slightly blue and slightly green. it had lots of spike things on its back and little elf ears. its eyes were small but its mouth looked like it could swallow five buses whole. its nostrils were just two little slits on the side of its nose. its arms were big and round and had sharp clawed hands sitting on the end of them. then the hand swiped down at the boat. and split it in half. Kevin saw James be split in half right before his eyes and saw Jimmy get crushed by a bit of the boat falling on top of him. it was only Kevin, Tim and maybe the captain but Kevin wasnt quite sure if he had survived or not. kevin jumped off of the boat and sunk abit before bobbing up his head again and looking at the destruction in front of him. Kevin was sure that the captain was dead now. Tim bobbed up next to Kevin and started to swim towards the land, Kevin took one last look at the carnage before him and started to swim after Tim. Kevin caught up but the beast wasnt far apart from them. Tim started to scream for his life. Kevin turned around to see the beasts eyes look deeply into Tims eyes. Then it went under the water. Kevin yelled to Tim to stop it and Tim did stop. after about thorty seconds of looking around and waiting for something to happen, something did happen. tim was lifted into the air in the mouth of the beast right next to kevin.the beast then sunk back into the ocean slowly and started to go deeeper into the ocean again. Kevin just sat there and started to sob because of what had just happened. he would rather have himself eaten to save everyone else. he started to swim back to shore after he had finished sobbing. it took about an hour but eventually he did get to shore and immediately fainted on the beach. he wakes up in the morning covered in salty air and a few barnacles. someone was shaking him to get up. he coughs up a little water and then blacks out again. he then wakes up in a hospital being wheeled into a room rapidly before he blacks out again. later he wakes up in a hospital room in a gown and lying in bed sweating more than he has ever seen him self sweat in his life time before. no one else in the room with him so he gets up and goes to the hall at his door. his wife and children are waiting at the door crying, until they see him standing there watching them cry. his wife runs past the guard and hugs him. the 2 children also run to him and jump on him as well.

"what happened to the rest of your crew kevin" asked kevins wife luccille after she put the kids to bed and sat down in the lounge room to face him and comfort him.
" Luccille theyre... they uh..." he starts to say but just cant stomach the fact that all his life friends have been brutally murdered. Luccille puts her hands over her mouth. "Honey its ok you dont need to say anything else to me i understand"
"Honey I saw something... Something unearthly, it was like a giant lizard... It had a giant hand that came down and... i watched on in horror as it split james in half. it followed us and killed Tim just for the hell of it. Tim wasnt being a threat he was just trying to get away like i was but he was too slow. I dont know where the captain..." he put his hand over his eyes and started to sob slowly.
